Ⅰ.Analysis of the teaching content教学内容分析

本书是一部以美国南北战争背景,以19世纪美国新英格兰地区的一个普通家庭四个姐妹之间的生活琐事为蓝本的带有自传色彩的家庭伦理小说。黑布林版本共13个章节,讲述了普通家庭马奇家的四个女孩的成长故事。美国内战期间,马奇先生远赴战场,四个女儿和母亲在家里过着清苦却坚强乐观的生活。她们虽贫穷却乐意帮助比她们更需要帮助的邻居赫梅尔一家。她们虽对富足的生活充满幻想,但在现实生活中,她们一直在凭借自己的努力及家庭的力量来解决生活中的种种艰难困苦。大女儿梅格生性爱美,对恋爱充满憧憬;二女儿乔独立自主,矢志成为作家;三女儿贝丝则是传统乖乖女,柔弱而惹人怜爱;小女儿艾米则钟爱绘画。

本节课为读后分享课,追随这四位女性由女孩成长为小女人的岁月,以成长为主线,引导学生了解及分析四个女孩在成长过程中如何克服困难、努力地微笑面对生活,从而读有所悟,感悟作品的主题意义。

 

. Analysis of the students学情分析

本班学生为八年级学生,大部分学生对英语学习热情较高,三分之一的学生对于英语阅读较感兴趣并形成了自己的一套方法。但由于学业任务较重,学生没有很多时间进行阅读。本节课授课前让学生合理安排时间读完整本书,利用班会课及夕会课让学生自己制作PPT进行作者介绍、背景介绍、情节分享等,教师适时补充,进行读前激趣及读中激励。本节课授课过程中,对于一些归纳性的及需要思维提升的学习任务,部分基础较薄弱的学生可能会存在困难。

本节课学完后,学生应能够:

1. 关注故事标题、语言,挖掘故事的主线;

2. 找出文中人物在成长过程中遇到的困难,定位到具体的语言、动作及行为;

3. 分析总结人物的性格 、品质,感受人物所思所想,表达自己的观点;

4. 感悟作品主题意义,升华情感思想;

5. 联系生活实际,将阅读中的所得所悟表达出来。

Step 1: Comprehension check

1. Review the four main characters in the story.

2. Put the sentences into correct order: activate students’ memory of the plot.

 

Step 2: Read for the principal line

1. Pay attention to the title: women.

2. Contrast: At the beginning, they were only girls, but in the end, they have grown up into little women. Why?

3. Read the words said by their father at the beginning of the story and at the end of the story.

4. Conclude the principal line: They have grown up into women, both in body and mind.

5. Further explanation: Read the words said by their father at the beginning again. What does to be a better person” mean? It means to improve oneself. So let’s focus on self-improvement.
